Biography

Dr. Aubuchon holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, with a focus in Immunology, and a Master’s degree in Radiobiology with a focus on galactic cosmic radiation, funded by NASA. Her Ph.D. and Master’s degree were obtained from Eastern Virginia Medical School. Her postdoctoral fellowship was completed at the David Geffen School of Medicine, at the University of California, Los Angeles. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, with double minors in Environmental science and Chemistry. She has published extensively in the sciences, even receiving a publication spotlight in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s (JDRF’s) nPOD magazine in 2011.

She is a survivor of child sexual abuse and an advocate for children in those horrific and traumatizing situations. As a child, she was never taught about voice power but even while she endured her abuse, she always knew she was stronger than most and the spirit within her would not be broken by this peril.

She knew it was her purpose to write this book but suppressed the calling within her for a long time. During the pandemic, the thought of children attending school virtually and, in many cases, in close contact with their abusers, urged her to write this book.

Dr. Aubuchon was born in the Commonwealth of Dominica and now resides in the commonwealth of Virginia, with her husband and two children.

“If You Touch, I’ll Tell” is the first in a series of books.

“If You Touch, I’ll Tell: For Parents” will launch in the summer of 2024.
